dated September 23, 1955: New Foreign Secretary

The External Affairs Ministry has announced the selection of Mr. S. Dutt, at present Commonwealth Secretary, for appointment as the Foreign Secretary vice Mr. R.K. Nehru, who has been named India's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China. Mr. M.J. Desai, at present Chairman of the International Commission for Supervision and Control in Viet Nam, will be the new Commonwealth Secretary.
