Letters to the Editor
The editorial "Heeding the cautionary signals" (Sept. 22) is timely and well meant. It is a caution to gullible investors, especially the new entrants, who in the prevailing market boom, have developed a strong inclination to go by word of mouth and make investments without knowing anything about the fundamentals. Good mutual funds, with able analysts in their employ are, as rightly stated, proving to be highly dependable these days. New investors stand to gain much, in terms of money and field knowledge, by opting for them.
K.D. Viswanaathan,
All is not well with the stock markets. The situation certainly calls for close scrutiny of private lending banks associated with stock brokers. The gullible small and medium investors will be badly hit if the trend is not checked.
K.M. Lakshmana Rao,
