Isolated rain likely in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala, coastal Karnataka, at many places over Telangana and Lakshadweep and at a few places over north interior Karnataka.

Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema.

Belgaum and Belgaum Airport recorded heavy rainfall of 10 and 9 Centimetres respectively.

The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in Centimetres are:

Karwar 4, Koide (Khammam dt.), Kollur (Udupi dt.), Honavar, Haliyal (Uttara Kannada dt.), Gokak (Belgaum dt.), Dharwad 3 each, Kunnavaram (Khammam dt), Siddapura (Uttara Kannada dt.), Shirali, Gulbarga 2 each and Dummagudam (Khammam dt.), Kodungalur (Thrissur dt.), Kanjirapally (Kottayam dt.) Thodupuzha (Idukki dt.), , Puttur and Subramanya (both Dakshina Kannada dt.), Karkala and Kundapura (both Udupi dt.), Yedwad and Hubli (both Belgaum dt.), Raskavi (Bagalkote dt.), Agumbe and Madikeri 1 each.

Forecast (valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over Kerala, coastal and north interior Karnataka and at a few places over Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and south interior Karnataka.

Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over north interior Karnataka during the next 48 hours.
