BELGAUM: Noted photographer from Belgaum Y.G. Biradar won the "Anniversary Landscape Trophy-2005" at a national-level contest organised by The Photographic Society of India (TPSI) in Mumbai recently. The contest was organised to mark World Photographic Day on August 19. Mr. Biradar won the trophy (donated by Dilhar C. Bhachech) for his colour slide titled "Misty". The picturesque view was taken at Amboli, a hill station about 70 km from Belgaum known for its beautiful landscape. The entry was selected among the colour prints, monochrome prints and colour slides. Well-known photographer Chandrakant Shah, Joint Secretary of All India Photographic Trade and Industry Association, Mumbai, presented Mr. Biradar the trophy at a function held recently. Mr. Biradar said the contest was judged by photographer and TPSI President Sham Manchekar.
