HYDERABAD:
Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) Commissioner Sanjay Jaju has appealed to the citizens to pay their property taxes by September 30 to avail the benefit of waiver of interest on arrears. Tax can also be paid online through ww.ourmch.com (Hyderabad first).
As the corporation had fixed its target at Rs. 200 crores for the current financial year, he said tax defaulters would be viewed seriously and all tax officials were given specific tasks, a press release said.
Mr. Jaju has also asked the general public to make use of MCH nursery to get free supply of required saplings. The plants will be transported free of cost at any suitable place shown by the citizens at their respective areas.
Earlier, on Thursday morning the Commissioner visited several areas like Parsigutta, Musheerabad, Chikkadpally, Nallakunta, Shankar Mutt, Fever Hospital and Kachiguda.
He inspected sanitation points and storm water drains. He asked officials to maintain strict vigil on night sweeping and clearing of dustbins.
Open garbage points in Musheerabad and unauthorised encroachments on footpaths from Chaderghat to Rangamahal road would be removed, the Commissioner said.
