NEW DELHI: Sahil, Pranav and Kanishk steered Bhatnagar IS `A' into the knock-out stage in the cadet boys' section of the Ramjas inter-school table tennis tournament here on Friday. Manav Sthali, Hans Raj Model, Sachdeva, Ramjas (Pusa Road), Mont Fort, Bhatnagar IS `A' and Bal Bharti (Pitam Pura) were the other teams which qualified for the knock-out phase. The results: Boys: Modern `A' bt Tagore IS (Vasant Kunj) 3-1, Mount Carmel bt Ramjas (Pusa Road) 3-0, Bhatnagar IS bt Ramjas (Day Boarding) 3-0, SD PS bt Ramjas (Senior Wing) 3-0, Adarsh PS bt Ramjas No. 2 3-0. Bal Bharti in super league
Asim Malhotra (four for 23) and Sanit Juneja (three for 22) helped Bal Bharti Public School bt G.D. Salwan School by four wickets and make it to the super league stage in the Himalaya Cup inter-school under-15 cricket tournament here. The scores: G.D. Salwan School 112 in 29.2 overs (Sudip Das 45, Tanuj Kumar 30, Asim Malhotra four for 23, Sanit Juneja three for 22) lost to Bal Bharti Public School, Pitam Pura, 114 for six in 29.2 overs (Raghav Khurana 37, Chayan Gera 32, Kunal Sharma three for 32, Sudip Das three three 19). Ramjas School No. 2 122 in 28.2 overs (Imran Khan 32, Prakash Negi four for 20, Devender Kharab three for 15) bt Government School, Vikas Puri, 72 in 15.3 overs (Devender Kharab 30, Divya Kohli three for 13, Imran Khan three for 15).
NDHC holds IAF
New Delhi Heroes Club (NDHC) snatched a crucial point by holding former champion Indian Air Force (IAF) to a goalless draw in the super league match of the DSA annual senior division football championship at the Nehru Stadium here on Friday. NDHC has one from its opening match while IAF's tally rose to four from two encounters.
Raju makes merry
Raju scored five goals including a hat-trick as Northern Railway defeated Food Corporation of India (FCI) Headquarters 6-1 in the super league match of the Delhi State institutional hockey championship at the Shivaji Stadium here on Friday. In other match, Punjab National Bank (PNB) defeated FCI, North Zone, 3-2. Gaganpreet Singh scored two goals and Satwinder Singh netted one for PNB. For FCI, it had its own Satiwinder Singh, who scored two goals.
