Minister gets bail

KOLAR: Horticulture Minister Alangur R. Srinivas, against whom the Mulbagal JMFC Court had issued a non-bailable warrant following his failure to appear before it, on Saturday appeared before the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Kolar and sought bail in a case relating to the alleged assault on a tahsildar two years ago. The magistrate of Mulbagal issued a non-bailable warrant against the Minister on August 30. The case, which came up for hearing on September 13, was adjourned as the Minister did not appear before the court. However, the Kolar court granted him bail.
