Two die in accidents

BANGALORE:
Two persons were killed in as many road accidents in the city on Friday. In a hit-and-run case, Omkar (22) was killed when a vehicle rammed his motorcycle on the Mahadevapura Ring Road around 11.45 p.m. The police said Omkar, a lathe machine worker and a resident of Singanapalya, was returning home from Marathalli when the accident occurred. The K.R. Puram traffic police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the vehicle.
In the other incident, a pedestrian, Gangamma (30), was seriously injured when a van hit her while she was crossing the Mysore Road, at R.V. College of Engineering, around 6.30 p.m. She died on the way to NIMHANS, the police said.
