This Day That Age
The Leader of the Communist group in the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Bhupesh Gupta, has invited an accusation of being the biggest capitalist because of his name. While the House was on September 24 considering the Companies Bill, in an exchange during discussion on dividends and workers' rights, the Congress member, Mr. Jaspatrai Kapoor reminded Mr. Gupta that his first name meant "the Lord of the earth" and asked amidst laughter how "this biggest capitalist" could espouse the workers' cause (laughter). Mr. Gupta retorted, "The working class will become one day the Lord of the earth."
