CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Kerala. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema, coastal and north interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over south interior Karnataka. Arani (Tiruvannamalai dt.) recorded a heavy rainfall of 7 centimetres.

The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres are: Parangipettai and Cheyyar (Tiruvannamalai dt.) 6 each, Kattumannarkoil (Cuddalore dt.) and Thuraiyur (Trichirapalli dt.) 5 each, Redhills (Tiruvallur dt.), Chidambaram (Cuddalore dt.) and Jurla Project (Mahabubnagar dt.) 4 each, Ketti (Nilgiris dt.) and Nilakottai (Dindigul dt) 3 each, Kanchipuram, Srimushnam (Cuddalore dt.), Sirkali (Nagapattinam dt.), Vedaranyam, Viralimalai (Pudukkottai dt.), Thogamalai (Karur dt.) and Sholavandhan (Madurai dt.) 2 each and Madhuranthagam (Kanchipuram dt.), Virudhachalam (Cuddalore dt.), Vallam and Kumbakonam (both Thanjavur dt.), Kodavasal (Tiruvarur dt.), Illupur (Pudukottai dt.), Vandhavasi (Tiruvannamalai dt.), Ariyalur, Tiruchirappalli, Chittampatti and Vadipatti (both Madurai dt.), Sivagangai, Natham (Dindugal dt.), Banswada (Nizamabad dt.) and Kochi Airport 1 each.
