TIRUNELVELI: : The Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam has urged the State Government to give separate reservation for Muslims in education and employment and release on bail members of the community who have been lodged in prisons in connection with the Coimbatore serial bomb blasts case. Addressing the TMMK's `Muslim Urimai Meetpu Maanaadu' held at Palayamkottai on Sunday night, party president M.H. Jawahirullah said the organisation, which never supported violence, particularly the Coimbatore serial bomb blasts, was only advocating speedy trial in the case since a special court had been set up. "As the trial is moving at a snail's pace, we demand that all the accused, including People's Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasser Maudhani, be released on bail. If they are found guilty at the end of the trial, they will be punished as per the laws of the land. Hence the State Government should take immediate steps to expedite the trial of this case," he said.
