HYDERABAD: Bhavan's HS won the Himalaya Chyavanaprasha Cup (under-15) cricket tournament for schools with a 10-wicket win against All Saint's HS at Gymkhana Grounds here on Monday. Put in to bat, All Saint's was bundled out for 127 in 48.5 overs with Akshit Reddy (42, 72 balls, 3 x 4) being the top-scorer. The others found the bowling of Kanishkk Naidu (four for 19) and Varun (two for 23) too good to handle. In reply, Bhavan's had little difficulty in romping home in 27.5 overs with openers Ashish Reddy (78 not out, 82 balls, 9 x 4) and Gautham (40 not out, 85 balls, 6 x 4)) batting with authority. The winner was richer by Rs. 9,000 and the runner-up Rs. 6,000. Test cricketer V.V.S.
