TDP's overreaction spelt its doom: Left

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Left parties have attributed the "lacklustre" performance of the TDP to effective coordination between the Congress and the Left. Though the TDP tried to "overreact" on issues, people did not believe it resulting in the landslide victory for the Congress-Left alliance.

"The multi-cornered contests in Telangana region have come as a saving grace for the TDP. Or else, it would have performed much worse," CPI(M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu said. CPI State secretary K. Narayana, said that people were yet to forget the nine-year-long TDP rule and its `anti-people' policies. He expressed satisfaction over the party's performance in winning 54 seats.
