Competitive bidding in power transmission

NEW DELHI: The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on Monday said it had accorded approval for building transmission systems through competitive bidding. The procedure had been proposed by the Central Transmission Utility (Powergird) as per the Commission advice in its order dated July 29, while disposing of the application of Reliance Energy Transmission Ltd (RETL).
