New norms for textile parks

COIMBATORE: The Union Ministry of Textiles has modified some of the guidelines for the Integrated Textile Park Scheme. In a recent notification, it said that a park under the scheme should normally have at least 50 units with a total investment of Rs. 750 crore and provide employment to 20,000 people on an average. The notification said that the number of entrepreneurs and the resultant investment and employment in each park could however vary from project to project.
