Gold ornaments stolen
Thieves took away gold ornaments costing Rs. 2 lakhs from a house at Kotla Alejah in Mirchowk in the early hours of Monday. The house-owner, Khader Abdullah, is a retired office superintendent of Military Engineering Services.
His family members were up till late on Sunday night because of a function and forgot to close the door. After midnight, they kept the jewellery in a bag and hid it in an almirah.
Held on cheating charge
The Neredmet police on Monday arrested one G. Yadagiri on charge of cheating three women in the name of securing them plots in Government land.
Body found in train
The body of an unidentified man was found in the compartment of Manmad Express at Secunderabad Railway Station on Monday. The slip on his shirt read G. Prakash Tailors of Nizamabad road, the Secunderabad Railway Police said.
