HYDERABAD: A woman, Aruna (27), and her two children - Praveen (5) and Himabindu (3) -- who were found with more than 90 per cent burns in their rented portion last night, died on Monday while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital. The Habeebnagar police, ruling out possibility of foul play, said a case of suspicious deaths was registered under Section 174 of Cr.P.C. According to the Inspector A. Srinivasa Rao, the house owner heard cries for help around 9.30 p.m. He and other neighbours rushed to the portion but found it bolted from inside. They broke open the door only to find the woman and the two children with serious burns and shifted them to hospital. While the mother succumbed to her burns around 5 a.m., the boy and the girl died in the noon and evening respectively. Aruna's husband Anjaneyulu was working as sales executive in an automobile shop. He was away when the incident occurred.
Dying declaration
The woman's dying declaration was recorded by a magistrate as per the law. "After examining the spot, we feel it was not a fire accident," the Inspector said.
