`Install speed governors'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All stage carriages and heavy transport vehicles should be fitted with speed governors before Friday, a press note issued by the Transport Commissioner has said. This is in accordance with provision 118 of the Central Motor Vehicles Act. All regional transport officers/joint regional transport officers have been directed to take action from Saturday against those who do not install speed governors in their vehicles.

Vehicle owners should treat this press note as a notice in this regard, the note added.
