Mysore Division dominates

MYSORE: Mysore Division continued its domination in athletics (three golds and one silver in the men's section and three golds, three silver and three bronze medals in the women's section) and team games (both in the men's and women's sections), while Mangalore and Mandya shared the honours in the women's and men's swimming events on day one of the two-day divisional-level Dasara Sports events being held at the Chamundivihar sports complex here on Tuesday.

Trivikrama Kamath of Udupi Divison emerged the fastest athlete in the men's section when he won the 100m event with a timing of 10.91s. In the women's section, Shruthi of Mysore Division finished the fastest with a timing of 13.23s.

Bushan beats Chitra

Ajay Bushan defeated national women's player Chitra M 432-346 in the 32nd T.A. Selvaraj Memorial non-medallist open billiards tournament at the KSBA hall in Bangalore on Tuesday. In a close encounter, D. Thandaveshwara prevailed over Sohail Jairaj 351-349.
