Trapped worker rescued

TAMBARAM: A 30-year-old construction worker who was trapped under layers of mud was rescued by personnel of the Fire and Rescue Services Department on Tuesday.

Sources said S. Prabhu was working in a ditch where an over bridge was being constructed to connect the Grand Southern Trunk Road and the Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road, when mud slid and buried him.
