COIMBATORE: Police Commissioner Karan Singha after analysing the recently introduced changes in the traffic pattern in Gandhipuram and Ram Nagar areas, taking into consideration the convenience of motorists have announced few changes in the restrictions. Henceforth, motorists coming on 100-ft road and Sanganur Road could enter Cross Cut Road and Gandhipuram 8th Street - Vegetable Market could use the 7th Cross Street. This was earlier made as a "No Entry" stretch and has now been turned into a one-way. Similarly for enabling motorists coming on 100-ft road and those coming from the new flyover towards East could enter Cross Cut Road, Ram Nagar residential areas and schools by using the 11th Cross Street. The 11th Cross Street was earlier declared as a "No Entry" stretch. From now on, motorists travelling towards Cross Cut Road from 100-ft road and vice-versa could use the 11th Cross Street. Similarly, Vivekananda Street, which remained as a "No Entry" has been made a two-way stretch for the benefit of motorists travelling towards Hospitals, Schools and Ram Nagar residential area.
