Police searching for seer

BANGALORE: The city police are on the lookout for the senior pontiff of the Kundapur Vyasaraja Mutt and the 12-uyear-old boy, Srihari, who was given "sanyas" by the seer.

The search for the pontiff and Srihari has been taken up after the High Court issued an order to this effect on Thursday. A Division Bench comprising Justice B. Padmaraj and Justice V. Jagannathan had allowed a habeas corpus petition by Sridevi of Hanumanthanagar seeking custody of her minor son Srihari, who she alleged had forcibly been given "sanyas" by the seer.
