This refers to the article, `Why urban Andhra Pradesh's message is important' (Sept. 29). The voters in the local body elections have correctly protested against the pro-rich and anti-poor reforms. Reforms that do not reach all are useless.

The TDP's rout should be an eye-opener to all pro-capitalist, pro-liberalisation, and pro-privatisation propagandists whether they are in the TDP, the Congress, or the BJP. The people have firmly rejected Mr. Naidu's policies. It will be better for the TDP to choose another leader dedicated to NTR's pro-poor policies.
