VIJAYAWADA: The NCC Cadets and the personnel of (1) Andhra EME Coy organised flood relief activities in Ajitsinghnagar and other areas in the city. As many as 70 cadets and Army personnel visited flood victims and distributed food packets. They also helped them in getting safe drinking water. EME Coy Officer-Commanding Anil Kumar said that the NCC cadets would always be in the forefront of relief activities in times of flood, cyclone and other natural calamities. Col. Kumar said that the cadets participated enthusiastically in extending relief to the victims of floods in the Budameru drain recently. The cadets and the Army personnel went round the flood-hit areas like Ajitsinghnagar, Singhnagar, Payakapuram and Rajarajeswaripet. They rushed help to people, whose houses were marooned for many days.
