DAV beats Don Bosco

NEW DELHI: DAV School, Yamuna Nagar beat Don Bosco High School, Vadodhara 2-0 in the sub-junior Subroto Cup football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Thursday. Ajay and Ashok scored the goals.

Maharana Pratap Sports College, Dehradun defeated Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj 3-1. For Dehradun, the scorers were Shankar (2) and Gaurav Sharma while Abhay Pratap reduced the margin.

In the juniors, Free Progress Academy, Imphal East beat Shah Satnam Ji School, Sirsa 4-1. Mochameitrei, Umakanth Singh, Herojit Singh and Robert while Vinay reduced the margin.

In another contest, St. Gabriel's School, Upper Shillong drew 1-1 with MCC School, Kozhikode. The Upper Shillong team took the lead through Mackeniey while Aboo Naveed equalised for MCC.

In the last match of the day, Nobel Academy, Nepal beat BSL, Bokaro 4-1. For Nepal, the goals came from Chetan, Ranjit, Bharat and Anil while Denny reduced the margin for the losing side.
