N.C. Vij is NDMA vice-chairman

NEW DELHI: The Centre on Wednesday appointed the former Army Chief, N.C. Vij, as vice-chairperson of the National Disaster Management Authority with the status of a Cabinet Minister.

K.M. Singh, Andhra Pradesh Congress legislator, M. Shashidhar Reddy, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) J.R. Bhardwaj, Mohan Kanda, bureaucrat, and N. Vinod Chandra Menon have been appointed members who would have the status of Ministers of State, an official release said.
