TDP workers blame party and also ruling party in honouring GMC Balayogi

  • Local administration constructs Balayogi ghat, mini-stadium
  • But, both the ghat, mini-stadium are still to be opened
  • Balayogi's wife threatens agitation if it is not opened soon

AMALAPURAM: The entire nation, particularly Konaseema in this district, is going to pay homage to former Lok Sabha Speaker Ganti Mohana Chandra Balayogi on October 1, which is his birth anniversary. But no Government or the party, for which he served for nearly two decades, failed to pay right homage to the popular Dalit leader by inaugurating the Balayogi Ghat, which was completed in the year 2003. Balayogi, who died in an air crash on March 3, 2002, was buried on the outskirts of Amalapuram.

The local administration constructed a huge monument and also a mini-stadium, behind the ghat, but both the ghat and mini-stadium are yet to be opened after three years of their completion.
