A musical fundraiser

Sivasakthi Utsav 05, a musical fundraiser by QuestNet Enterprises India Pvt. Ltd., the Indian arm of the Hong Kong-based QI Group of companies, will be held on October 7.

About 30 S.P. Balasubramanium hits will be performed by Sruthilaya.

A poem penned by President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, set to music by composer Vidyasagar, will be released at the event.

Sivasakthi Utsav 05 is part of the company's corporate social responsibility.

The funds raised will go towards construction of a home for the mentally challenged, orphans, destitute children and the aged, that will be run by Siva Sakthi Homes at Kancheepuram.

A film on Siva Sakthi Homes, directed by Balu Mahendra, will be premiered at the event. Passes are available at Rs. 1,000, Rs. 500, Rs. 300, Rs. 200 and Rs. 100 denominations. Call 28365071 for reservations.

The event will be held at Kamaraj Arangam, 7 p.m.
