Visakhapatnam
Special Correspondent
VISAKHAPATNAM: The district Collector, Praveen Prakash, has urged the officials to complete all pending projects for Visakhapatnam to get international acclaim. He was reviewing the proposed projects on Beach Road and available Government lands along with Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) Vice-Chairman G. Venkatram Reddy, Joint Collector Sandeep Kumar Sultania, and EPDCL CMD Sai Prasad, on Wednesday. Expressing dissatisfaction over the progress of some tourism projects, Mr. Praveen Prakash asked the officials not to hesitate to take back lands from private agencies which failed to complete the projects in time.
Beach Road expansion
Mr. Reddy said that there were no obstacles for expansion of the Beach Road which was going to be made four-laned up to Bheemunipatnam. The dangerous bends en route were being straightened and in case any problems cropped up while acquiring lands, they would be sorted out, he said. VUDA secretary D. Muralidhar Reddy, Chief Engineer Ch.V. Rama Rao and Executive Engineer G. Sarat Babu attended the meeting.
