Hoax call delays flight
NEW DELHI:
A Kathmandu-bound flight was delayed on Thursday after the police received a phone call claiming that a bomb had been planted on the flight. The call was later declared a hoax after no explosives were found on board.
The 140-odd passengers of the Sahara Airlines flight to Kathmandu were asked to wait in the IGI Airport lounge after the Police Control Room received the call. The bomb disposal squad combed the plane, but did not come across any bomb, after which the flight was allowed to take off.
