CHENNAI:
Havell's India, a leading manufacturer of electrical accessories and power distribution equipment, has drawn up plans to focus on the southern markets, particularly Tamil Nadu. Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, Sandeep Sharma, AGM said the company had fixed a target of Rs. 200 crore turnover from Tamil Nadu alone in the next three years.
Started as an electrical trading company in 1958, it entered in to a joint venture partnership in 1987 with Geyer AG of Germany, a leading manufacturer of miniature circuit breakers. The company is setting up 13th facility in Hardwar (Uttar Pradesh) for increasing the capacity of fans to two million units from 1.2 million at present besides turning out compact fluorescent lamps. The plant is scheduled to go on stream shortly.
