KANNUR: Repolling was held on Friday in three booths of the Payam panchayat at Kunnoth St. Joseph's Upper Primary School amidst tight police security. The polling was peaceful and 58.96 per cent of voters cast their votes. Repolling was ordered in the booth one of ward four and booths one and two of ward five of the Payam grama panchayat following the incident of destruction of ballot papers and vandalising of the booths . Heavy police deployment was made near the booth to ensure free and fair polling.
