International trade fairs in Greater Noida

NEW DELHI: Three international trade fairs -- Interkama India, Pharma India and Biotec India International 2005 -- will begin at the India Exposition Centre in Greater Noida on October 1.

Organised by Cidex Trade Fairs Private Limited, the three-day event will bring together the best of companies from across the globe, covering diverse segments like automation, instrumentation, pharmaceutical and biotechnology.

Academic file on terrorism released

NEW DELHI: Trans-national networking of counter-terrorism agencies was the underlying theme at a function organised here to release the academic file, "Terrorism in Southeast Asia". This was the first academic file in India from Pearson Education.

Pearson Education president Subroto Mozumdar underlined the importance of content that is contemporary, thoroughly researched and scientifically laid out in all their publishing, including academic. He said Pearson Education would publish up to 50 titles a year under the academic imprint ``Pearson Longman".

Shiksha Shiromani award conferred

NEW DELHI: The "Rashtriya Shiksha Shiromani Award 2004" was conferred on the Director and founder-Principal of Manav Sthali School, Mamta V. Bhatnagar, on Wednesday in recognition of her contribution towards spreading education.

The award was presented by the All-India Achievers Conference on the occasion of its national seminar on "Individual Achievement and Nation Building".

DPS-Rohini organises "Virasat-2005"

NEW DELHI: Delhi Public School-Rohini in association with DPS Society organised "Virasat 2005" at its premises here this past week.

The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by sitar maestro Debu Chaudhuri, who also gave a lecture-cum-demonstration. The Principal, Rita Sen, welcomed the guests.
