CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Telangana and dry weather prevailed over coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are: Kalingapatnam 6, Uthangarai and Rayakottai (both Krishnagiri dt.), Bangarapet and Srinivasapura (both Kolar dt.) and Visakhapatnam 5 each, Arani (Tiruvannamalai dt.) 4, Polur (Tiruvannamalai dt.), Ambur (Vellore dt.), Bangalore, Bangalore Airport and Tuni 3 each, Tirupattur, Gingee (Villupuram dt.), Vaniyambadi (Vellore dt.), Jayamkondam (Perambalur dt.), Sivagangai, Tumkur and Srungavarapukota (Vizianagaram dt.) 2 each and Vellore, Barur (Krishnagiri dt.), Krishnagiri, Tiruvallur, Thali (Krishnagiri dt.), Bagewadi (Bijapur dt.), Huliyurdurga (Tumkur dt.) and Visakhapatnam Airport 1 each.

Forecast (valid until Monday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
