PALAKKAD: O. Jayarajan, assistant conservator of forest, Olavakode, has been awarded the prestigious Dr. Salim Ali National Fellowship for the project on ``Conservation planning for the wetlands of North Kerala with special emphasis on bird communities.'' The fellowship, awarded to managers and scientists to take up research projects for nature conservation, is for a period of two years. Mr. Jayarajan has been selected for the award in view of his contributions to wildlife conservation.
