Negi stuns Sulskis

NEW DELHI: Triple International Master-norm holder Parimarjan Negi stunned Lithuanian Grandmaster Sarunas Sulskis to reach 4.5 points after seven rounds of the 14th Monarch Assurance Isle of Man International chess tournament at Porn Erin on Friday.

The results (seventh round, involving Indians): Parimarjan Negi (4.5) bt Suranas Sulskis (Lit, 3.5); S. Kidambi (4) drew with Yuri Zimmerman (Rus, 4); Vishal Sareen (3.5) lost to Richard Palliser (Eng, 4); Keith Allen (Irl, 3) lost to Neelotpal Das (4); Abhijeet Gupta (4) bt Jens Henrichsen (Den, 3).
