Dhaanush Educationals is organising an exhibition of children's books at its showroom in Saibaba Colony till October 2. The books exhibited include Indian and imported ones on various subjects.

Navarathri festival

Navarathri celebrations will be held at Shri Shirdi Saibaba Dwarakamai Kovil, Peelamedu, from October 3 to 12. Navarathri festival will be held on the premises of Kothanda Ramaswamy Temple, Ramnagar, from October 4 to 12 by Tamilnadu Brahmin Association.

Programme

Kongunadu Arts and Science College will organise a two-day workshop on `emerging thrust areas in the field of bioinformatics' from October 3.

Elected

The following were elected office-bearers of Coimbatore Management Association for 2005-2006: P.M. Jegatheesan (president), U.K. Ananthapadmanabhan and Dr. R. Nandagopal (vice-presidents), Priya Bhansali (secretary) and S. Ramesh Kumar (treasurer).

Two killed

TIRUPUR: Two farmers were killed in a road accident at Koduvai near here on Saturday.

According to Avinashipalayam police, Poovarasan (35) of Kundadam and his friend Muthuraj (30), died on the spot when the motorcycle in which they were travelling rammed in to a lorry.
