Blood banks to be streamlined

HYDERABAD: The Finance and Health Minister, K. Rosaiah, has said that the Government has taken a conscious decision to streamline blood banks and blood storage units by issuing licence to ensure supply of safe blood. He inaugurated a blood donation camp conducted by the AP State AIDS Control Society to mark Blood Donation Day on Saturday.

He said the licensing policy was adopted to standardise blood banks in both Government and private sectors.
