The Hindu Young World painting contest

Bangalore finals on November 12

BANGALORE: The most talented students are gearing up for The Hindu Young World Painting Competition and your child can be among them.

There is no entry fee and to participate in the preliminaries all you need to do is send a painting on a drawing sheet (26 cm x 27 cm) on the following topics.

Attested by the school, they are to be sent to the Regional General Manager, The Hindu, 19 and 21, Bhagwan Mahaveer (Infantry) Road, Bangalore-560001 before October 9.

The finals for Bangalore will be held at the Bishop Cotton Girls' School at 9 a.m. on November 12.

In the preliminary round, the topics for juniors (classes IV to VII) are "Sports day at your school", "At a children's carnival", "A puppet show" or "At the library". For seniors (classes VIII to X), the topics are "The December 26 Tsunami", "Scene at a harbour", "A car rally" and "Fancy dress show on Independence Day".
