24-hour TV channel on health soon in State

HYDERABAD: A new satellite television channel on health, Seven Star Care channel will be launched across the State shortly.

According to the chairman and managing director of Live Satellite Media India Private Limited, the channel, which is on Thaicom satellite, will be a 24-hour channel devoted to health.

It is a free-to-air channel that can be accessed by anyone without any charge, according to a press release.

About five lakh people from Orissa living in the twin cities are missing their contact with their homeland as the only Oriya channel ETV Oriya has been stopped and replaced by a popular music channel from the third week of July.

Oriyas `hurt'

A release from the Sri Jagannath Cultural Association says that even though the subscribers have spoken to the cable authority, the situation remains unchanged. They hope that action will be taken to retransmit their favourite channel before Dasara.
