Clear Zone bags Universal Star Plate

HYDERABAD: Mr. Sarasam Madhusudan Reddy's Clear Zone (Ravi Shanker up), won the Universal Star Plate, the main event of the races here today. N. Rao trains the winner.

In the Million Stars Plate, jockey D. Singh (IamTheOne) was fined Rs.500 for shifting in approaching the 800m and bumping Raise The Moon (R. Alford) who in turn went onto Fort Collins (A. Ramana), resulting in Target Time (N. Lawrence) racing on the rail checking and losing position.

In the Universal Star Plate, jockey Sk. Farookh (Aapki Merzi) was fined Rs.500 for shifting out immediately after the start crowding and interference to Maid Of the Mist (A. Abhinay) and Amrita (A. Imran Khan).

In the Mrs. Lakshmi Bhupal Memorial Cup (Div. I) held on Oct. 2, the Stewards suspended jockey Sequeria (Jet Age) from riding in races with effect from Oct. 15 to 17, both days inclusive, for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in at about 200m and caused severe interference to Blue Bells (R. Laxmikanth) who clipped his hind heels and stumbled resulting in jockey R. Laxmikanth getting unbalanced in the saddle.

In the Regency Cup (Sept. 26), the Stewards suspended jockey B.V. Krishnan (On The Trail) from riding in races with effect from Oct. 15 to 24, both days inclusive, for the unsatisfactory riding of his mount in the straight. Jockey Krishnan was, however, permitted to ride work.
