KOCHI: District Collector A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish has said that strict action will be taken against the use of more than one gas connections in a single household. Those who are using such unauthorised gas connections will be given time till October 31 to surrender the connections, said the Collector. No action will be taken against those who surrender the connections. The respective gas agencies will return the security amount to those who surrender before the announced date. Those who are using connections taken in the name of others for their own household purposes can transfer the connections to their own names during this period if they are authorised to take the connections. Even when transferring connections like this, one household should not have more than one connection.
