Essay contest on dress code

Entries invited from women college students in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: : Nandini Voice for the Deprived, a city-based NGO, is conducting an essay competition on `Advisability of having a dress code for students and its implications from a psychological and sociological perspective.' The organisation invites entries from women college students in Tamil Nadu.

The organisation believes that it is important to give women students an opportunity to express their views on `dress code for women students.' A meeting will be called in November to present the findings from the opinions expressed by participants and the winning entries.

Essays, in either English or Tamil, and not exceeding 1000 words, should be submitted by October 26. The best five entries will be given cash prizes.
