LUCKNOW: Former Uttar Pradesh MLA and socialist leader Athai Ram Yadav died of cardiac arrest in Allahabad last night. He was 79 and is survived by four sons and five daughters. Mr Yadav represented the Allahabad's Handia constituency in the Assembly three times. Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav condoled the death of the former MLA and said he always strived for the upliftment of the poor and marginalised.
