The following were the rates (Rs per kg) of essential commodities in local wholesale market on Saturday, according to the Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce & Industry: Groundnut oil-53.50, Palmolein oil-39, Sunflower oil-48, Tamarind (flower variety)-20 to 27, Tamarind (karipuli variety)-42 to 48, Chillies (refrigerated)-15 to 20, Chillies (non-refrigerated)-10 to 13, Rice 2716-13, Rice super fine-15, Rice Sona Masuri 17 to 19 Samba-15 to 16, Black gram (Pottu Minappappu)-30 and Red gram (Kandipappu) desavali-23.
