THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 10-day `Amba Yagam' organised by the Isa Viswa Prajnana Kendra at `Mani dweep', Aruvikkara, concluded on Wednesday afternoon with `Poonahuthi' and `Peedha daanam.' Braving intermittent heavy showers, hundreds of people turned up to participate in the concluding rituals of the yaga. Ganapathy Homam was performed by a team of 54 priests led by Raghunath Kale. Special pujas were conducted to propitiate goddesses Durga, Saraswathi and Mahalakshmi in front of the `Ambapeedhom'. Later, after a series of `homams' and the Poornahuthi, a `pushparchana' was done to the peedhom. Swami Isa, founder of the Kendra, made `Godanam'. The present head of the ruling family of erstwhile Travancore, Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma, was among those present for the concluding rituals of the yagam. Earlier in the day, Swami Isa initiated into learning many children at a ceremony held at the specially erected Saraswathi mandapam.
