More dengue patients admitted

NEW DELHI: With 12 new patients being admitted to various hospitals across the Capital on Thursday, the total number of dengue cases so far has gone up to 316. Of these, six new patients belong to Delhi, while three each are from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.Of the 316 cases reported so far, 215 are from Delhi, while 101 are from neighbouring States, including 40 from Uttar Pradesh, 27 from Haryana and 27 from other States. However, the number of deaths has remained stable at four -- one from Delhi and three from other States.

In the Capital, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi areas account for the maximum number of cases at 204, while 10 are from the VVIP New Delhi Municipal Council area and one belong to Delhi Cantonment/Railway areas. In MCD, the maximum number of cases has been reported from West zone (51), followed by Central (35), Najafgarh (34), Rohini (28), Civil Lines and Karol Bagh (12 each), and South (8).
