Staff Reporter
VIJAYAWADA: The city Civil Supplies Officer (Circle-I) has sent a report to district Collector recommending action against Vijayawada Gas Company, a dealer of HP gas, on the charge of resorting to irregularities in distribution of gas cylinders. The dealer was accused of transferring LPG from domestic cylinders to commercial cylinders with the help of electrical motors. Vijayawada Sub-Collector Buddha Prakash M. Jyothi said in a press release on Thursday that action was recommended against the gas company under Essential Commodities Act. He said that so far 305 cylinders were seized in Vijayawada town on grounds of diversion or misuse.
