    First

Mr. Wadiyar told presspersons that the digital delivery of education is a result of growing technologies, time management, scarcity of qualified mentors, widespread student-base and global acceptance. The institute will have a fine blend of aggregation, distribution and content. It has the potential to improve the productivity of learning and thus metamorphose from conventional to the new age and futuristic and sustainable education.

    Courses

The online institute will offer diploma and certificate courses to begin with apart from an MBA from Rushmore University, U.S. The vision of the institute is to provide quality education and reach millions of people in rural areas and impart skill-oriented education to make them employable, Mr. Wadiyar said.

The admission process will commence next month. The courses to be offered include a certificate in Indian cultural tourism, certificate in Indian heritage tourism, diploma in Indian cultural and heritage tourism, diploma in biotechnology, diploma in aviation, travel and tourism, and certificate course in computer reservation service.

The institute will certify diploma and certificate courses. Foreign universities will certify MBA courses for which the institute will be a facilitator. Emphasis will be on placement and the institute will counsel students on interviews, recruitment process and interaction with the corporate and service sectors.

    Online admission

The other offers provided online through the institute are admission, student support service, interaction and examination.

Students will have to log onto www.mmihe.com and the portal will lead them to various modules, including live sessions. The institute has entered into partnership with various groups.
