NEW DELHI: Three young men who had allegedly kidnapped an eight-year-old boy at Malviya Nagar in South Delhi on October 7 with the intention of criminally assaulting him and then killed him for fear of being identified by the victim, have been arrested by South Delhi police. According to the police, Suresh Chand Sharma, a resident of Begumpur in Malviya Nagar, had lodged a complaint on Oct. 7 saying that his son Bhavesh had gone missing from outside his house. The Malviya Nagar police registered a case of . Mr. Sharma also got calls demanding Rs. 1 crore and also threatened him against contacting the police. Following investigations, the police arrested Dharamveer, Anil and Sunil, Mr. Sharma's neighbours, on Friday. At their instance, the police recovered the body, which had been stacked in a gunny bag, from a gutter in Begumpur. The accused allegedly confessed to having committed the crime. The police said the accused had kidnapped Bhavesh on Oct. 7 and began misbehaving with him. Bhavesh started crying and threatened to tell his parents. The trio then became nervous and decided to kill Bhavesh. They strangled him to death and dumped the body in a gutter.
